Finished build 7, I am so happy, not gonna lie, it felt like eternity to wait :sob: but that’s okay.
I really enjoyed the new update..; I enjoy the route with Marrow, he is so stressed, I feel so bad about him, hopefully he shall find some rest and relax for a little while before he has to do stuff :(
I am LOVING this VN--since I keep staying up till 3 to read the next part! The story is intriguing; the characters are fun. So far, Marruk is my fave (such a sweetheart), and Marrowyne is just as as adorable. I hope to see more of Marrow's assistant, and yes I would like to some of his meat ;) Cannot wait for the next build! Keep up the good work!
I hope this isn't too stupid of a question, but how does the new build know all the saves and data from the previous build (im very stupid, so someone please enlighten me). Because I just downloaded the new file and it has all my saves and stuff already.
You're not stupid for asking, it's fine. Ren'py saves aren't held in the same folders, they're put into a seperate folder outside of your game files that Ren'py can access. Meaning even if you completely deleted both of your files of Roads Yet Travelled, and redownload it at a later date, as long as you are using the same computer, you'll still have the same saves. If you want to see your files on windows, you can press the windows button+r, and then open %appdata%, and look into your RenPy folder. If you want to see it on a different device, I can't help you there, but I'm sure it's documented enough on the internet that you can find it easily through whatever search engine you prefer.

I have to agree with you on this. Before, Marrowyn was on the big sized but he looked fit, now he's just fat. He got 40+ more pounds on him, and looks like he will collapse from exhaustion if he runs 30 ft in any direction. The only real improvement I think they made is the fur round his neck, he no longer looks like he's wearing a furry boa. And maybe his face. I think the neck and head of the new Sprite on top of the old Sprite body would look nice, but I guess they just made his new Sprite bigger to match what he looks like in some of the background images.
Honestly same, I just started the VN and was really liking Marrowyn, I saw your comment and went 'It can't be that bad, right?' well... Anyways can't say much about body but now he looks way olderto me and I'm not sure I like it tbh (I tend to prefer older characters, but not this time...), hopefully we'll get used to it quickly (Don't want to criticize tbh, just was caught off guard by the change, missing that lovely big dumb/smart face(?) I guess the only thing I'm frustrated over is once they had the language AI, why didn't he ask them for the basic structure of their alphabet so he could learn to read their language? I mean yeah his texts in his monitor translate messages back and forth but being able to read station signs so he can properly navigate would be a huge boon in feeling more independent. He even could have said something like "write down the word water," and he could write it in english and begin to sparce together what each letter of their language equivalent in english could have been.
I'm likely overthinking this. I understand its probably plot related to not have this taken care of sooner or maybe this is resolved later on since so much is going on.
I was thinking the same thing. I have to think that the MC is just overwhelmed with his situation and not thinking straight enough to come up with ideas that will help him out.

Well, I finished reading the last update. At first I thought it was a cute VN with a sometimes frustrating MC who at times made the right questions and gave pertinent info, and often not. But now that I finished reading it I must say I'm still disturbed, even if I went through the heavy part two nights ago. This VN doesn't build tension, it crams it!!! I was underestimating the MC and now I feel bad for judging him so poorly before having more information. The guardians are lovely too!!
I just downloaded and finished the game in the weekend and i love it's so much, it's quite different from what i thought it's would be. The story and the vibe of this game giving me a alot of thought, i have so much questions like what with the weird robot and stuff. I have a theory that the Eye/Heart/Void have something to do with how we get here and all the traumatic dream. Can't wait for the next update.
i like this game. The story is so complicated and weird but good for me to play. But i have a question why Murrak eyes glow up blue like ice? because it glow up when he is angry or some emotion too much( that may explain why he just think blue jacket better when i wear Rhoun red jacket.)
Every dateable character has an artificial body part by a lucky stroke of fate. Marruk, for instance, has an artificial eye that allows itself to glow.
I downloaded a previous version some time ago, but had not the time to read it. I started a couple days ago and must say this is really good! I want to know what's going on! I hope this project keeps growing. These character feel so realistic and lovable! You are creating a great work here!

Assuming you mean sex scenes, then yeah none currently. But it is building relationships with the characters at the moment which is nice instead of just 2 days in and being like "I LOVE YOU!".
There is some gore and horror which could count as a higher age rating? Maybe not 18+ though. Idrk how they categorise gore for age ratings.
Yeah that is certainly one thing I like about it, the VN is pretty long yet the most we have is like the MC having a few… slightly suggestive thoughts that are immediately dismissed. I think the good pacing already ranks the VN pretty high in terms of realistic relationships even if we haven’t actually seen any lol.
Yeah, I enjoy relationships in VNs but some are definitely not realistic... Like declaring love for someone you have known for 2-3 days (Burrows). The dialogue flows nicely here, I think after the apology from MC will be the beginning of showing more care and romance between him and partner.
Why must all the good visual novels be unfinished? Like I get it's a process, and I'm grateful we can have a visual novel of this quality for free, but tbh I'd rather shell out $25 for a finished game then have every VN I read abruptly end the moment I get invested. So frustrating, but if that's my only complaint I guess you have a good thing going, so well done.

Loving the story, glad to see I sort of guessed one thing about translating. There was some good suspense building.

Edit because I forgot! Love the different emotions and facial expressions for everyone, it adds a lot to their dialogue, especially when it is Marruk smiling :P
Wow I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging this VN was! Loving it so far! Marruk is husband material and I can't wait to see his and the MC's story develop further
Can i just say I totally should of read the tags for this game before just mindlessly trying it, i've only done what id just call the rhoun route so far I dont know how much difference there is with what happens but day like 15 was something i was not prepared for.
Not because of its content, but because I didn't see the time spent playing it! It's so interesting and exciting to read! It's really easy to immerse yourself in the universe, which is well fleshed out.
I really like the character of Tyr. I think he's my second favorite character. I really like the fact that he seems to have as many qualities as flaws. I like this kind of pragmatic character you can't quite figure out. Does he have good intentions? Does he really feel responsible for our coming here? Is he lying to us all the time? Personally, I'm convinced that deep down he's a good person, but unfortunately his project is too dangerous for my taste, and I'm afraid he'll never admit it... Nor does he seem blameless in his treatment of Marrowyn.
He clearly seems to have lied about certain moments in his past. I'm curious to find out what he's hiding. I have the impression that he has avoided talking about certain difficult moments in his life. And I don't think he's ever confided in anyone.
Unfortunately, given the end of our discussion, he's not likely to tell us the whole truth about his past for a long time, I think, ahah.
In any case, I hope we can help him, especially in his relationship with Marrowyn. But I don't think there's much we can do for him. After all, it's already complicated enough for us and our guardians. I hope things turn out better for him, but unfortunately I think he's the kind of character who comes to a tragic end.
There are a few choices but beyond choosing your ‘love interest’ (theres no romance, yet) choices are far and few between so there probably wont be much in the path department.
Ok, I was certainly not expecting that turn of events... stars above and below, that was incredible... My heart alamos couldn't contain my excitement !

I think we may have awakened an previously unliving thing... concept made form, screaming as we ripped it from an abstract cradle of nothingness, tearing it and giving it form from the raw void as we passed... And I am all in for this bit of cosmic horror. I have to say, My survival instincts may be broke, but this being actually didn't bring me fear, even with the loads of body horror...
And I'm also absolutely convinced that Tir is the one to blame for it. Battery my ass, that the Mæron (is this right?) is definitely somehow alive.
PS: giving our luck so far, i'm betting that the CEO of BigCorp™ is coming instead of a simple technician.

I didn't like MARROWYN's new sprite at all, I even thought he gained weight the last time I saw him.
My issue is he looks more feral rather than cartoonish/cute. I get the ick from him now.

I skip a version or 3 and the new sprites... Gonna admit some of them are ok but definitely prefer the old Tyr and Marruk sprites over the new ones.

Love this VN and this is a bit nitpicky but it doesn’t make much sense for these aliens to understand nodding/head-shaking.
